So here I am.

I am sitting downstairs at my computer and I just felt that I had to update this journal.

I have been in the process of trying to make a short film. But for the most part I have come up, well... short. I have been trying to do this for a couple of years now and I have been quite unsuccessful. It gets draining, really. Having to rely on other people who don't see the vision the same as you, and they definitely don't have ther same schedule as you.

Tonight, I was asked to help make a short film for my church; an announcement video of sorts. I had this brilliant idea of making it really funny with a mad housewife trying to maintain her house, very unsuccessfully. She needed a mentor to help get her through. Our church is starting to teach mentoring. Well, I had this very funny idea. But one lady said that idea wouldn't appeal to the whole church, and women, specifically (to which this video is geared. Excuse me, crazy mad house, children out of control, I think it works) She said there were deeper issues, like people struggling with suicide and drugs. I told her it that wouldn't really work to be funny.

"Sure it could." she replied.

I just don't think that making light of suicide in front of a church is going to get some giggles.

Anyway, I don't think they're going to use my idea. However, I still think it was brilliant. I'm just going to end up having to do the tech work on it: editing, sound, etc. Just my lucky day. Another waste of my talents, I guess.


I know, I could go to the church and kick all the drug dealers off the porch steps.

That sounds like a grand idea.
